New Recipe Taste Test

This past weekend, 3/17/18, I asked other vendors and customers to sample taste and vote for the Chow-Chow they liked the best. They had 2 choices. It was a close race but Chow=Chow B won by 2 points. One customer made a good suggestion. She recommended I do both recipes, but make one a "sweet heat" Chow-Chow. We'll see how this weekend at the Dallas Farmers Market goes with the taste testing.  Dallas Farmers Mkt in March

We must be getting really old! After working at the market this past Saturday, I remember stopping by our daughters' for tacos, heading home, showering and collapsing on the couch. Hubby woke me about 11pm and said "Get up & go to bed". I vaguely remember stumbling to the bedroom. I can't imagine working the market EVERY Fri, Sat & Sun. My family & friends would not see me nor hear from me until Wed at the earliest!
It looked like all the vendors had a good day. Foot traffic was heavy and steady. My inventory is getting low. Time to start making more product for the coming season. Come on weather warm up so we can go and pick some strawberries for that delicious jam! |
