Vegetable Garden on the Way
4/27/2020
Looks like everybody is sheltered-in with lots of energy and no place to go. Well we decided to start a garden. & got the grandkids to help us. We're starting the cukes, green beans, sun flowers, red peppers and squash from seeds in egg cartons. The basil and dill planted earlier are already sprouting. The lavender & mint was planted last year. Actually the first mint plant came from NC 3 yrs ago. So far we've planted some tomato plants, 1 habanero pepper plant and a couple of squash. The plan is to transfer the egg carton seeds to the garden. We're hoping the Texas summer sun wont burn the plants. It will take a lot of water for this small garden to make it. Might as well get ready for a higher water bill!

A lot sure has happened in just a short amount of time!
Maybe on some level life has changed, dramatically for many, as we know it. The Coronavirus has brought a new day not just in our towns and cities but over the entire world. It angers me that it has totally disrupted the lives of so many people when maybe, just maybe, it did not have to on this scale if action had been taken sooner. Unfortunately, it was not. That said, it is my prayer that everyone who reads this is staying as safe and as well as possible and following all safety procedures recommended by the Center for Disease Control. This pandemic will end one day. None of us know what the future holds on the other side of this BUT we do know WHO holds the future. |
