@Methodist Marketplace

10/20/2018
This was our first time being vendors at the Methodist Marketplace. The turnout was very good. I had a couple of returning customers, Debbie & Courtney, and met many new ones. Ken had to go back home twice and get some product. Looking forward to doing this market again next year if possible.

1st Place Chow-Chow @ the State Fair

10/9/2018
Every Thursday from Sept 28-Oct 21 is Senior Day at the fair. So if you're 60+ you get in free. We went straight to the Creative Arts building to see all of the ribbon winners. I don't know how many people entered the canning contest but there must be over 100 ribbon winners on display. I felt very honored and blessed to see the chow-chow we made sitting on a 1st place ribbon.

    Greetings

    I believe there is something very special about making
    preserves. Although it seems labor intense to some people it is pure joy for me! It's almost therapeutic. I love to stand and stir a boiling pot containing fresh fruit. The scent is tantalizing! But, better than cooking the product  is seeing the end result of filled jars with delicious goodness. I hope you will enjoy eating the jams and pickles as much as I enjoy making them.
    O taste and see.....
