Methodist Marketplace venue

10/20/2019
The Methodist Marketplace went over pretty well. It was great seeing some of my returning customers. At the advice of Ken, I did not take any Strawberry or Peach Jam since one of the ministries at the church had made some & was selling it there.
Believe me I wanted to bring some of my jams.
Connected with Josie of Josie's Bistro who was also there selling her products.

At the State Fair of Texas

10/11/2019
We've been working at a Go Texan kiosk on Tuesday and Thursdays. Its been an experience! On day 1 we ran around  in circles looking for Will Call. We thought it was on the fair grounds but it was not. We had to have parking passes, car decal etc. to even get into the pavilion to set up. On day 1 , after all that running from pillar to post we had exactly 5 minutes to set up before people started coming to sample! Ken said trying to get on the fairgrounds (as a Go Texan vendor) was harder than trying to get on a military base. I'm about to agree with him on that one!
This Thursday will be our last sample date. The Fair ends October 20th. The Nourish Market stockers have been very good about keeping the shelves full & looking attractive. You can find our products on shelf #4. So, come and see us this Thursday and say hello. If you've already dropped by, thanks so much.  We will be sampling Chow-Chow, Hot Chow-Chow, Peach Habanero Jam and Cinnamon Cucumber Rings.
Pics of our jars on the shelves and us rushing to get the samples ready!

    Greetings

I believe there is something very special about making
preserves. Although it seems labor intense to some people it is pure joy for me! It's almost therapeutic. I love to stand and stir a boiling pot containing fresh fruit. The scent is tantalizing! But, better than cooking the product  is seeing the end result of filled jars with delicious goodness. I hope you will enjoy eating the jams and pickles as much as I enjoy making them.
    O taste and see.....
