For the next three weekends Providence Preserves will be pretty busy. On Dec 3rd, 8th and 15th we will be at the Farmers Branch Christmas in the Branch Event from 4 til 8 each evening. We'll be doing double duty on the 15th at Duncanville Switch from 9 til 3 then onto the branch from 4 til 8. All this is pending I still have product to sell. This has been a good week for Providence Preserves. It started at the West Wall Street event on Sunday that led to deliveries on Monday and mailing online orders on Tuesday & Wednesday and finally dropping off an order on Friday! Inventory is getting low. Customers know once I sell out of an item, I will not be making anymore until the season starts again next spring. I guess that is why a customer (Larry) purchased 5 pints of the Cinnamon Cucumber Rings. Since he was only in town for Thanksgiving, he decided to stock up! That was smart Larry! Throughout the week I will be posting what we will be selling at upcoming events. So, stay tuned. A Funny Thing Happened @West Wall Street

I don't really know how many people attended West Wall Street yesterday but I can tell you I sold more than half of the 90 jars I took. We pretty much got slammed after both services. Quay helped after the 1st service and Gloria helped after the second one. I don't know why I didn't take a pic of what I am about to share with you. I guess I was really surprised that my pastor, Dr. Fredrick D. Haynes III, actually sampled a Squash Pickle AND said it was ok, he liked it! All 8,000 families at Friendship West know Dr. Haynes HATES squash. I think everyone standing around the table with him including Ken & I were in shock! No one thought to get this on record as proof he not only ate it but had nothing negative to say about it. No Squash Pickles were purchased, he did however buy some Chow-Chow. Had a purchase been made, I'm sure I and a few others would have been speechless.
Oh well, I got a mental image even if no physical proof. It made my day! Thanks Pastor West Wall Street this wknd

West Wall Street is happening this Sunday at Friendship West Baptist Church! Over 50 vendors will be in the Narthex after both the 8am and 11am services. Up to as many as 8,000 parishioners may be in attendance. We are hoping Providence Preserves will sell to lots of happy customers! West Wall Street got its name from "Black Wall Street "which was once located in Tulsa Oklahoma. Black Wall Street was burned down during the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. Google for more info... East Coast Facebook friends wish you could attend this event. Dallas Fort Worth, looking to see you there!!! |
