The Leaning Tower of Peaches on Providence Rd
Its starting to feel very comfortable & familiar again. Usually the first time I return to "work", I feel out-of-sorts and off-key. But this season in the kitchen, we've been going at it pretty strong from day one. We will be in the kitchen tomorrow starting at about 11:30am. We hope to make some Dilly Beans and Watermelon Rind Pickles. Last week we made Strawberry Jam, Berry Peachy Jam and Hot Chow-Chow. It was exhausting. Almost 70 jars were made. Not sure what to expect production-wise tomorrow. Every time I have the opportunity and do not make Chow-Chow I feel guilty as if I will pay for that later. Later as in at the State Fair & not having enough product to sell..
Oh well... I'll do what I can do. Here are some pics from last weeks' efforts. pic 1 - the end result pic 2 - stirring Berry Peachy Jam pic 3 - making Hot Chow-Chow 1st Farmers Branch Mkt 2019
